Shipping is determined based on weight, destination, and method of shipment. Here is a guide that may assist you in determining shipping, but please be aware that it is only a guideline.

After your order is completed and packaged ready to ship, we will know the exact weight and dimensions of the package. At that time, we will contact you to let you know whether the shipping was estimated correctly. If shipping is less than the amount on this chart, it will be refunded or credited to you (your choice). If shipping is more, we will let you know.

Shipping Chocolate Items
For chocolate products, we can ship by fast overnight or 2-3 day delivery. We strongly recommend sending chocolate by Overnight or Priority mail because of potential melting problems. We can ship basic to save money if you choose, but please remember that in that case we're not responsible if it melts. Also, to make sure that your chocolate arrives in perfect shape, we might not be able to ship over the weekend.

Prices include basic packing materials and insulation. However, really hot summer weather may require extra materials to prevent your chocolate from melting. This special packaging will be $5.00 extra to cover the costs. We'll do everything we can to make sure your chocolate gets to you in good condition!

We do suggest that during the really warm months (typically, May-October), that you order wrappers only for chocolate items.

Naturally, we will let you know what day to expect it. Please try to make sure that someone is there to accept delivery so that the package is not left outdoors in potentially warm weather. You don't want your chocolate to melt right on your doorstep!  If the package is left out in the sun, we cannot be held responsible.

 

Shipping non-chocolate items
If you are ordering wrappers-only or hard candy, or another type of personalized item, you may wish to choose something more economical. We can use any of the following methods, whichever is preferable. 

  • USPS Priority
  • USPS Overnight
  • UPS Overnight
  • DHL Overnight
  • UPS Ground
  • DHL Ground

Local pickup and delivery
Delivery is available for the immediate Tacoma area only, but you are welcome to come to our location for pickup. Please contact us for driving directions.

Insurance
If you prefer, you may add postal insurance to your order. Postal Insurance will cover your order if it gets lost or damaged during shipment. The cost of insurance is 5% of your total order. (Example: If you ordered $90.00 worth of favors plus $10.00 shipping, the total would be $100.00 for your order and the insurance would be an additional $5.00.)

Please note - postal insurance will not cover it if the delivery records for your item show "DELIVERED" from its assigned tracking#. If a package is stolen from your porch or mailbox, it is not covered. Insurance only covers items *NOT* delivered to your address, or if items were damaged in transit. 

If your item does show "delivered" but you did not receive it, please contact your local Post office, DHL, or UPS. Give them the tracking # and explain the circumstances. Sometimes they have it at the post office because they were unable to deliver it to you - for example if it required a signature and no one was at home. 

Sometimes items will show delivered but in fact were returned to sender without making another attempt to deliver. In that case it will take about 7 days for us to get it back. If that happens, we will definitely contact you and re-ship.
